The rain definitely didn't dampen spirits on Saturday when Woody welcomed Jack and his Dad to the Gtech.

This was their first away game in The Premiere League, they had read about how inclusive Brentford is and felt welcomed enough to drive the 4 and a half hours from home.

We were absolutely delighted that news of Woody Welcomes had reached them and we were able to give them a Bee welcome after their long journey.

Having a child with additional needs makes it daunting to travel somewhere different and try something new, so it was great that they had faith in Brentford.

Jack and Woody shared some boisterous games in the sensory room and watched their favourite players from their respective teams warming up.

They were both very excited and it was hard to get a photo as they were not still at all.  That is the joy of the sensory room that everyone can express themselves and enjoy the match however it suits them.

Woody gave Jack some sweets to enjoy during his visit and we hope they softened the blow from the result...

We would also like to take the opportunity to say a massive Thank You to David Beckham... yes that's right, David Beckham!

David came to the Gtech to present Penguins coach, Allan Cockram with the Unsung Heroe Award from The Sun's 'Who Cares Wins' awards.

David was having a kick about with the Penguins when he said to Woody's Dad, Dick, that he loved Woody Welcomes and what a good job Woody is doing spreading the message.

How amazing is that?

Congratulations to the amazing Allan for his much deserved award!
